  1. I always love your photos from the month, they’re gorgeous!
I haven’t seen The First Purge yet but I think I would feel the same- I’m really curious about the concept but have been disappointed with the plot quality from the second film onward.
Also curious what you thought about Red Queen? I’ve had it waiting on my shelf for ages!

    1. Thank you!!
I’ve had similar issues with the plot quality of the Purge movies, but I thought it was worth it seeing that one! I definitely felt like it was longer than it needed to be but the plot itself was still interesting enough.
I enjoyed Red Queen, but you definitely have to go into it knowing it’s corny YA with plenty of tropes. If you’re looking for anything else you probably won’t enjoy it haha. I definitely plan to continue the series, though!

      1. That’s good to know, on both counts! I’m glad the movie entertaining in some way, even if it’s not quite a cinematic treasure. The Purge franchise is definitely a mixed bag. But I think I’ve seen all the others, so I might as well finish!
And I own Red Queen so I’ll for sure get to that eventually as well. It’s been a minute since I’ve read any typical YA fantasy, but it’s a genre with a nostalgic factor for me so I do still enjoy it on occasion. Though it’s good to know what mood to be in to pick it up. I hope you enjoy the rest of the series! 😀
