Hi all, I hope your summer is off to a good start if you’re in the northern hemisphere like I am! I’m quite sensitive to the cold and have seasonal depression, so spring and summer are my favorite seasons. 🙂 I’m hoping to get a decent amount read over the next few months and figured I’d share some of the books I’m specifically intending to read! I’m very much a mood reader / opportunity reader so we’ll see what else I add to this along the way.
The books I’ll be telling y’all about are coming from three different categories: ARCs, my owned TBR, and my TBR ASAP shelf. These lists are not exhaustive, they’re just what I’ve decided to prioritize this summer (mostly at random because decisions are hard).

This is SUCH a good list! Lots that I’m hoping to check out too, so I’ll be keeping an eye out for your thoughts 👀

Ooh, it looks like you’re going to have a great summer of reading! Really looking forward to your thoughts on So Sad Today and Wilder Girls especially, as both are on my hope-to-get-to-soon list. Otherwise, I think the only title here I’ve already read is Illuminae, which I thoroughly enjoyed!

Wilder Girls is next on my list! I’ll probably start it tomorrow. I have Illuminae out from the library but keep prioritizing other things in part because I’m so intimidated by its size haha.

Yesss I can’t wait to see what you think!
Also Illuminae reads twice as fast as it looks because of its format. I was hesitant at first also, but I flew through it once I was familiar with the characters and premise. I hope you enjoy it!

It’s mostly that I’m anxious about carrying it around, but I do hope I have time to finish before it is due back! It seems like something I’ll very much like. 🙂

Oooh, have fun with Illuminae!! I didn’t think I would enjoy it as much as I did, but I loved it. The format doesn’t take away from the story at all!
