Which of my friends do I read the most like?

Ally came up with this fantastic blog idea that I’m in love with! Here is her explanation:

So on Goodreads, you can compare your books to someone else’s books. Essentially, Goodreads will look at the books on both of your shelves and compare them for similarities. I’m not entirely sure how it works, but it’s a general look at how similar your reading is.

So, I thought it would be fun to compare my reading tastes to those of some of my friends to see who I read most similarly to.

So let’s see how much my friends and I actually have in common when it comes to reading!

  1. This is SUCH a cool idea and a very fun post to read. I saw my name first and I was like Yeah!!! We match The Mostest! Turns out not really 😂 but 75% is pretty good!

    1. Hahah! I feel like everyone is close enough anyway. I also think a lot of my older ratings would be different now so we can say we’re definitely higher 😉

  2. This is one of my favourite features on Goodreads! I use it all the time, mostly to decide if I want to follow someone’s reviews haha. I might have to give this is a go. It would be interesting to see where my views align or not with people I’ve been friends with for awhile now.

  3. Ally really had a great idea with this post format! Interestingly (to me at least) the books you’ve listed that we agree on have all been strong and lasting faves for me, while the books we disagree on are titles I don’t feel very strongly about anymore. I had a good time with all three of those reads initially but would not hold any of them up as objectively great books, haha. Especially Frankissstein, I know I need to revisit my review/rating for that book as I’ve definitely come to sympathize with the arguments against it. Even so, 82% is pretty similar, that’s fun to see! 🙂

  4. Yay I’m so glad you did this!!

Honestly, I think we agree more about Vita Nostra than our Goodreads’ ratings suggest. I was very generous when I rated it and definitely think my rating would be lower than it is
